That is because sleep can inhibit the effects of genes on body weight. Scientists at the University of Washington (USA) draws this conclusion after examining the twins in 1088. The results showed that sleeping less than 7 hours / night associated with increased body mass index (BMI) and greater influence of genes for BMI. This work is published in the journal Sleep.
